Competition
This international one-stage architecture ideas competition invites all architects, landscape architects and designers, students and professionals with a degree in architecture, landscape architecture and design studies to develop and submit great ideas for the design of a residential complex (Guest Houses) located at the Calivigny Garden, St. George, Grenada. West Indies.
It is essential that each design proposal emphasizes and celebrates the site and surrounded area close to the Calivigny Harbor at South of the site, being a harbor surrounded by mangroves.
Brief
The Calivigny Garden Guest Houses offers a unique experience for residential design dedicated to visitants for short-term and long-term periods, in the middle of the Caribbean Region, being Grenada one of the most safety country in the region. The site, marked as Lot 11, have partial view to the Calivigny Harbor Bay, a great water mass to be used as part of the landscape of the design.

10 Guest Houses including at least 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom, Kitchen-Dining Room-Living Room and Terrace/Balcony.

There are limits in height of 30 meters, not limit to excavations or shapes as long as the design is keep into the designated area.

To encourage using passive solutions in order to reduce consume of energy will be an asset.

Maurys Alfonso Risco is a Cuban Architect with a Master in Business Administration (MBA), Founder of CED Consultants Ltd, in Saint Vincent, Associate Architect of Gabriele Peters Architects at the Grenadines and Trojan Desing and Development in British Virgin Islands. Seven years of works in Saint Vincent, Bequia, Tortola and Virgin Gorda among other consultancies in other Caribbean Islands with previous experience in Heritage Rehabilitation and Construction Techniques teaching in Cuba. Committed with the architectural improvement, critic and theory analysis along the Caribbean Basin.
Bryan W. Bullen is a Grenadian Architect who first trained as an artist and industrial designer at the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto Canada. He obtained his M Arch from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-ARC) under the tutelage of the late Raymond Kappe and Wolf Prix of the internationally known Coop Himmelblau.
In 2000, Bryan founded the award-winning firm, Caribbean Office of Co-operative Architecture. His practice has since completed numerous high profile residential, commercial and institutional projects, including Grenada House of Parliament, Ariza Credit Union Carriacou , and the Munding Residence.
Ilsa I. Guevara is a Civil/Structural Engineer and also degree in Pedagogical Science. Co-Founder of Novara Design & Construction and Novara & Associates Ltd, in Grenada and UK respectively.
In her practice carried out projects in the Caribbean Region, mainly St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada and Cuba with emphasis in residential developments and tall buildings. Has been professor for the University level, teaching Technical Drawing and Handcraft Techniques for different specialties.

Prizes
Jury members will assign three (3) awards and seven (7) honorable mentions.

First Prize 2000 USD (two thousand US Dollars)
Second Prize: 1000 USD (one thousand US Dollars)
Third Prize: 500 USD (five hundred US Dollars)

Seven (7) honorable mentions.
Publications
All the admitted design entries will be published on the website www.archiconceptdesigns.com
The organization will make an effort to give the maximum visibility on web and paper magazines to winning projects and honorable mentions. However, the actual publication abides exclusively in the relationship between www.archiconceptdesigns.com and editors.
Notes
All the projects that win a monetary prize will become property of www.archiconceptdesigns.com. The remains entries submitted the Intellectual property of the property remains to the creator. The competition is an ideas competition and will not be built.
Entries submitting and/or final winning of the competition does not constitute any kind of professional commitment between the participant and any of the organizers.
